Common Thread For The Cure
A 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, The Common Thread for the Cure Foundation was established in 2000 and is the united effort of the varied businesses and individuals within the furnishings and design industries to support their own in the battle against breast cancer.
The Foundation’s Helping Hand Grants program offers financial assistance to help offset the stresses that come with diagnosis, such as paying medical deductibles, securing housing during treatment away from home, and assisting with insurance costs, to name just a few. Anyone affiliated with the industry is eligible to request a grant for him or herself, or for an immediate family member.
Arcadia has been a proud supporter of The Common Thread for the Cure since its inception in 2000, providing contributions through fundraising campaigns, event sponsorships, donations from product sales, and currently as a Bronze-level sponsor.
We have also been fortunate to have been honored with a grant for one of our own, a beloved long-time employee that was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. The financial aid she received made a significant impact on her overall care, and to be able to see first-hand the benefits was incredibly rewarding. Although she ultimately succumbed to the disease, she did so with dignity and her memory continues to live on.
We are honored to stand alongside this vital organization in its mission to provide hope, support, and relief to our industry peers and their families as they navigate the challenges of breast cancer. Together, we are stronger, united by the common thread of care and compassion that binds us all.
